The folks over at MainStreet.com have published a top 10 list of the “happiest” cities in the United States. Even more interesting than learning the cities that made the list are the reasons behind the overall happiness.
Finishing in first place is Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas — the location of TheBlaze TV’s main television studios.
According to MainStreet, “These happy Texans are most likely to say their spiritual beliefs are a positive guiding force to them (75%) and that they rarely worry about their health (59%), as well as being among the least likely to feel their voices are not heard in decisions that affect them (67%).”
In a nutshell, it seems like faith, health and self-assurance are alive and well in Dallas.
Houston, Texas, is ranked second in happiness, giving the Lone Star State the top two spots.
“Like their neighbors in north Texas, Houston residents are also among those most likely to say their spiritual beliefs are a positive guiding force to them (79%) and among the least likely to feel their voices are not heard in decisions that affect them (67%),” MainStreet notes.
In third place is Philadelphia, Penn., where residents are most likely to say “their relationships with friends being them happiness (92%) and that they’re generally happy with their lives at this time (86%).”
